Activity:
1.     They are shown on how to measure an amount of water using plastic cup.
2.     For example, a jug is used. The jug is filled with water. Paper cups are lined up on the table:


4.     Water is poured to plastic cups until it is finished.
5.     Teacher mentions one jug of water equals to four cups, and writes down on the blackboard :

There are 4 cupfuls of water in the jug

6.     Then, the water is poured back into the jug.
7.     Activity:
a)     Line up 5 paper cups on students desk.
b)     Pour water from the container into the paper cups until it is finished.
c)     Jot down how many paper cups are filled. each student holds a container brought from home, and they fill up with water.
d)     Pour water from the paper cups into the container again.
e)     They measure like what is shown, and write down in their worksheet.
f)      Then, they find another 4 containers from their friends and try measuring it.

Teaching Aids for High Achievers
Each group gets:
1)      4 plastic cups
2)      1 jug and 1 mug
Activity:
1.      Students are explained on the importance of knowing the capacity of a water container.
2.      They are shown a full plastic jug and water is poured from the jug into 4 plastic cups until it is empty.
3.      For example, the process shows that the jug holds 4 cups of water.
4.      They are shown another example, measuring a mug’s capacity. The mug fills 2 plastic cups.
5.      They are shown on how to describe the capacity:

The volume of water in the jug is four cups,
The volume of water in the mug is 2 cups.

6.      For students’ activity, in groups of five, students measure water volume of 2 water containers. The containers are filled with water.
7.      Students are required to pour water into the cups and measure the liquid volume of both containers.
8.      They jot down their findings in the worksheet.
9.      They present their findings to the class. One students from each group reads
